The border city of Foz do Iguaçú is the gateway to the one of the biggest Nature Attraction in the world, the Iguaçú waterfalls.

Foz do Iguaçú means literally the estuary of the Iguaçú river, this modern city with more than three hundred thousand inhabitants, grew exponentially in the 70’s during the building of the biggest hydroelectric power plant in the world, Itaipú. Intimate connected by 2 different bridges to Paraguay and Argentina, its residents make use of the proximity to shop cheap electronics at Ciudad del Este in Paraguay and good cheese and wine in Puerto Iguazú in Argentina.

Iguaçú is pleasant city with a lively center with bars and restaurants and serves as an excellent base to discover the attractions around it.

 

Day 1 – Foz do Iguaçú

 

Airport meet and greet and transfer to our hand-picked Eco-Agro Pousada. This responsible and charming kind of lodging is sustainable producing most of its own products (organic) for the breakfast. Has an efficient ecological water reuse system and works with the agro forestry systems. In its spacious rooms bungalow style the furniture’s are made from reused wood from demolished buildings. Day 2 – Foz do Iguacú – Puerto Iguazú (Argentina)

Having 80% of the length of the falls located in Argentina, visiting this side of the fall is not to be missed at all! Although in Brazil you have the panoramic views of the complex of falls, in Argentina you have the closest and the most impressive sights. With a large array of senderos (paths) that brings you to the lower part of the waterfalls as well as the superior bridges passing over the cascades, the biggest attraction lies at other end of a long bridge that brings you to the most amazing lookout point which is the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) fall. A breathtaking experience, being so close to this immense body of water, descending next and underneath you splashing at rocks forming beautiful rainbows.

 

 

Argentinian side of the Iguazú Falls Tour

 

With this Day tour, we bring you to Argentina. Hassle free and with our private transportation and guiding we bring you through the customs and passport control continuing (40minutes ride) all the way to the national park. We will visit the Upper and Lower Circuit of walking paths with diverse lookout points, further visit to the Devil Throat’s mirador view point with the most impressive sights. For a deeper experience at the national park and the falls, we take a open truck going through the jungle to a point down the river where a speed boat waits us for an adventurous ride upstream for a even closer contact with the falls. After a refreshing bath under the cascade we finish our visit and before going back to to Brazil we make a stop at Puerto Iguazú the 3 country monument overlooking the borders of Brazil and Paraguay.

 

Day 3 – Foz do Iguaçú

The waterfalls of Iguaçú protected by a bi national Natural park maintaining its original vegetation around it, spreads over 3 kilometers long across the borders of Brazil and Argentina. The Brazilian side of the waterfall has 20% of the total amount of 275 different falls, but it does has the most beautiful panoramic views over the whole complex of falls. With different walking paths you will be able to admire the different impressive views of this Nature Wonder.

 

Free time  in the morning to explore the Brazilian Side of the Falls at your own pace.

 

Transfer to the airport in the afternoon for your flight.
